Order for Serial Production of Cielo's Space FOG
Encouraged by the successful launch and continued operation of the Starlight 1000 IRU (previously known as IRU 24), in space, Cielo has received an additional purchase order from the same customer for serial production of the Starlight 1000 for satellite operation.

Cielo Inertial Solution’s ultra-accurate Starlight 1000 IRU (Inertial reference system) finalized pre-delivery testing, and was successfully integrated with an operational satellite system of an undisclosed space system integrator in 2016. It has been operational in orbit since then.
“There was a need for a highly accurate and reliable system capable of providing precise measurements over many years, I couldn’t be prouder of the tremendous effort by our incredible team of engineers that has worked hard to reach this major achievement,” explained Dr. Arnon Arbel, Cielo’s Chief Executive Officer
Cielo’s high performance STARLIGHT 1000 IRU is a space-grade, ultra-high performance strap-down unit IRU for satellites attitude control, navigation and control (GNC) and Line-of-Sight (LOS) stabilization.
As a space qualified ultra-accurate Inertial Reference Unit (IRU), it employs the latest closed-loop Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG) technology. Years of effort put into development, qualification and extensive testing have led to Cielo successfully receiving a continual order for the system.
