Erez Peled brings to Cielo more than 25 years in different leadership positions in the defense industry.

Prior to his nomination as Cielo CEO, in April 2022, he was VP for Business Development and Marketing of Elbit Systems C4I and Land Divisions where he led the international Business Development activities in the fields of C4I and Combat Platforms solutions. Before that he was the CEO of G-NIUS, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems and IAI in the innovative domain of Unmanned Ground Vehicle for Defense and Security applications.

Erez joined Elbit Systems in 1997 and held various management positions in Systems Engineering and Business units in the battlefield and information systems area. Prior to that, he served as an artillery officer in the IDF, where he holds the rank of Colonel (reserves).

Erez holds B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technion in Haifa and M.Sm. in Business from Polytechnic NY.

Dr. Arbel has shifted to the COO position in April 2022, after serving more than 14 years as Cielo’s CEO.  He was appointed CEO of Cielo in January 2008 after previously serving as VP of Operations since the establishment of the company in 2005.

Prior to Cielo Inertial Solutions, Dr. Arbel served as Production and Operations Manager at Chiaro Networks, leading several development and operation projects.

From 1996 to 2000, Dr. Arbel was a Senior Engineer at AspenTech, a consulting company to the chemical industry in Houston, Texas. In this capacity he installed Advanced Process Control applications in several refineries world–wide.

Dr. Arbel holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Technion in Haifa, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from CUNY (City University of New York).

Dr. Amit Brandes brings to Cielo more than 20 years of business development and R&D experience in the defence industry. Prior to Cielo Inertial Solutions, he was a Business Unit Manager at Elbit Systems’ Elop division, working mainly in the international defence market. Before that he served in various engineering management roles in Elop, where he started his career in 1995. Dr. Brandes has vast background in inertial navigation and led the development of several such systems within Elbit.

Dr. Brandes holds a B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering and B.A. in Mathematics, both from the Technion in Haifa. He holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. His Ph.D. research focused on the mathematics of inertial navigation systems.

Itzik Engel has been Director of Engineering at Cielo Inertial Solutions since 2014. Upon joining the company in 2005, as a system engineer, he led several developments of Inertial Measurement Units and IMU sub-components. In 2018 he was appointed VP of R&D and Engineering.
Prior to Cielo Inertial Solutions, Itzik worked at Chiaro Networks as a development engineer, part of the team that developed a bio-sensor for nitride-oxide sensing. Itzik holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He earned his M.Sc. for research on Optical and Electrical Properties of Composite Structures of Porous Silicon.

I have 17 years of experience in employee and managerial development, overseeing teams in a multicultural environment.  I believe my diverse background brings significant value to my sensitive and important mission.

Dikla Yonatan Katsav joined our team as HR Director in October 2020. Prior to Cielo she served as talent development lead and HRBP in a global start-up, Employment Project Manager at the JDC and as Area Director at Manpower.

Dikla holds a BA in Business Management from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an M.B.A degree from the College of Management Academic Studies. She is also certified as a Management Coach.

As CFO I believe my job is essential in making sure that the Finance department follows the goals defined by the Company’s management, effectively and efficiently.”

Matan has over 11 years of experience in leading excellence finance, operations, and business activity in private companies in a variety of areas.

Matan is a Certified Public Accountant and Economist and has a thorough background in financial management, accounting, taxation, and business strategy.

He specializes in budget management, development operations, and implementation of controls and reporting.

Matan joined Cielo, from X-Sight Systems, where he served as a Finance Director.

Before that, he served as a Finance Manager in X-Sight Systems and as a Senior in Deloitte Israel.

Matan holds an MBA as well as a BA in Accounting & Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Shlomo Zilberstein is a certified quality engineer – ICQE. Shlomo joined Cielo after over ten years of quality assurance management in the defense industry, where he was involved with development and production of integrated systems, hardware and software. Prior to that he was a quality control manager for 15 years in the electronics industry.
